Logging on to your Squarespace site

Go to https://account.squarespace.com/ and enter your email and password.  Here you will see your site - just click on the image to enter.

Editing copy on your Squarespace site

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).    
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.    
- Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.    
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.    
- Click somewhere within the textbox containing the text you want to change and make the relevant changes.    
- Once the text changes are complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Adding / removing / changing the order of images from a gallery on your Squarespace site

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  
- Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.  
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.  
- Hover over the gallery section and select the image icon.  
- Add and remove images as required.  
- You can also drag the images into a different order here.  
- Once the image changes are complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Changing an image on your Squarespace site

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  
- Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.  
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.  
- Click the image you wish to change and select the edit icon in the top left of the picture.  
- Select 'REMOVE IMAGE' and then upload new image.  
- Ensure the Caption is turned on/off as required.  
- Once the image change is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Changing a background image on your Squarespace site

If an image stretches all the way across the screen, it could be set as a background image, rather than a normal image as listed above.  

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  
- Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.  
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.  
- Click the image you wish to change and select the edit icon in the top right of the picture.  
- Select 'Background'.  
- Click the delete (bin) icon and then upload new image.  
- Ensure the Overlay Opacity is set to 0%.  
- Once the image change is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Copying a page Section on your Squarespace site

If you want to add new images / text etc and use the design that is already in place on a page, the easiest thing to do is to copy a pre-existing Section.
 

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.  
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.  
- Scroll to the Section you want to copy.  
- Hover over the Section and click the copy icon in the menu that appears in the top right corner (2nd icon in).  
- The section will duplicate itself - you can move it to the right part of the page as required by using the up/down arrows, and edit the copy as per the 'Editing Copy' instructions above.  
- Once the image change is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Adding a new pre-formatted Section to a page on your Squarespace site

If you want to add new images / text etc and keep it separate from pre-existing items on a page, it's often easier to add a new section.  

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  
- Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.  
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.  
- Scroll to the part of the page you want to add the section to.  
- Click on the 'ADD SECTION' button that appears.  
- Choose a section type.  
- Add the image / text as required.  
- Once the image change is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Adding a new blank Section to a page on your Squarespace site

If you want to add new images / text etc and keep it separate from pre-existing items on a page, it's often easier to add a new section.  

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  
- Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.  
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.  
- Scroll to the part of the page you want to add the section to.  
- Click on the 'ADD SECTION' button that appears.  
- Select 'Add Blank +'.  NOTE: 'Add Blank +' will still add a text block as standard within the section.
- If you want to add text, add the text and format as required.  
- If you want to add a different content type, hover over the text box and click the '+' button, then format as required. (Don't forget to delete the text box if you don't use it.)  
- Once the image change is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Adding a product on your Squarespace site

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Commerce'.  
- Here you will see all the settings for your shop - click on Inventory.  
- Click 'ADD PRODUCT' in the top right-hand corner of the page.  
- Choose what product type you want to add.  
- Select the shop name (if you only have one shop set up, there will only be one option).  
- Set product up as required.  
- Once the setup is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save and Publish' in the top left-hand corner.  

Editing a product on your Squarespace site (including updating variants, prices and stock numbers)

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Commerce'.  
- Here you will see all the settings for your shop - click on Inventory.  
- Click on the product you wish to edit.  
- Edit the product as required.  
- Once edited, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Updating form fields on your Squarespace site

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  
- Click on the page that the form is situated on.  
- Hover over the form and click the Edit icon.  
- Choose 'Edit Form Fields' and select the form field that needs editing. (If editing a dropdown field, see details in next section)  
- Once the form change is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Updating dropdown form fields on your Squarespace site

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).  
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.  
- Click on the page that the form is situated on.  
- Hover over the form and click the Edit icon.  
- Choose 'Edit Form Fields and select the form field that needs editing.  
- Select the dropdown field and select 'Options'.  
- Scroll to the bottom of the list of dropdown options and click 'ADD' if a new option is required and type the option text.  
- To delete dropdown options or change the order of the dropdown options, click the 'Edit' button in the top right corner of the Options box.  
- Click the red delete icon next to any of the options that need removing.  
- Click on and drag any of the dropdown options into the correct order.  
- Click the 'Done' button in the top right corner of the Options box once all changes are complete.
- Once the form change is complete, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.  

Update Instagram password

If you ever update your Instagram password, you will also need to update it on your Squarespace site to ensure the images refresh.

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Settings' > 'Connected Accounts'.
- If you have changed your password, the Instagram account will show as Unauthorised.
- Click 'Reauthenticate' and type in your new password.
- Click 'Save'.

Amend FAQs (pre-2022)

Please note that this is only valid for sites built before 2022, as Squarespace have now got a built-in Accordion module, which we now use for an FAQs section.

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Pages'.
- Here you will see all your site pages - click on the page you want to change.
- Click 'EDIT' in the top left-hand corner of the page.
- Click on the FAQs and click on the Markdown edit button.
- If you want to add a new question, copy and paste one of the pre-existing questions and simply overwrite the text with the new question and answer.
- If you want to edit a question and/or answer, find the question and answer you wish to amend and change the text as required.
- Once edited, click 'DONE' and 'Save' in the top left-hand corner.

NOTE: we recommend copying the entire FAQs text and saving it in Notepad, so that you have access to the original FAQs in case the editing does not work as planned.  It can often also be easier to edit your questions and answers in Notepad and then copy the entire text back into the FAQs Markdown box once you're happy.

Updating your billing details on Squarespace

When we set up your Squarespace site, we will normally use our business account for any initial setup fees. Once you've taken over the site, you may want to change this to point to your own account details.

- Log on to your Squarespace site (https://account.squarespace.com/).
- Click on the image of your site and click 'Settings' > 'Billing' > 'Payment Information'.
- Update the card details as required.
- Click 'Save'.
